Monday, April 30, 2001 12:48 It's queensday in the Netherlands. That means beer, orange clothes, and obligatory partying. Ja ja. ![]() Queensday poster featuring crown prince Willem Alexander, here sporting his mom's famous hairdo. Willem Alexander has an Argentinian fianceé and very bad teeth. link

Saturday, April 28, 2001 12:32 Attention. Attention. Since almost a week I am stationed with all my equipment at Oskar's studio, where we, day and night, produce and design and produce and design the final versions of the AT5 stuff (premiering for the locals on May 15). ![]() On a brief visit to the Oude Braak studio I found this skillfully calligraphed message on the planning board (how appropriate, Job). link

12:32 Attention. Attention. ![]() Submerged as I am I almost failed to mention the happiest thing: I am now the owner of a Visor Edge. Instant afffection and everything. link

Wednesday, April 25, 2001 21:00 All your binnenstad are belong to us Today is referendum day in Amsterdam. I did not vote but at least I made up my mind. I'm against. For the rest, the only thing I can say is: after May 15. link

Friday, April 13, 2001 12:39 A Casa nova e a prima Vera My home search has ended, it seems. Thanks to the help of our dear friend FR, I will be soon living in a very nice (and very compact) little studio apartment. Lots of arrangements still to be made. May it be known: I'm happy. Many thankyous. Muitos e muitos anos atrás meu amigo Carlos Freitas (who guided me through my first computer steps) alugou uma casinha bem bonitinha na Vila Madalena e decidiu comemorar a ocasião com uma festa. No convite lia-se A CASA NOVA E A PRIMA VERA. It was spring then, as it is now. link

12:33 It was a long, complicated and extremely unpleasant dream. I don't remember much of it, except that at one point I looked in the mirror and noticed that I was saying things but my voice did not match the movement of my lips. It was alarming. I knew then that this discrepancy was a symptom. It meant something was seriously wrong in my relationship with all that's outside of me, of my head. Awful, really. link

Monday, April 02, 2001 20:36 It's been silent in here, I know. That's because there's a lot happening back at the studio. The best news is that in the meanwhile I have finally upgraded my hardware and things work much better and faster, even though the new G4 is unable to recognize the ram chips properly (it detects only half of the amount that's in there). A quick check at MacFixIt shows that there's lots of people with similar complaints. I don't really get annoyed with those things anymore; there's always a solution after all. But I do have better things to do. link
